I moved into my new office in October and have the privilege of decorating it myself. I've been trolling the internet and design magazines searching for ideas that fit my personal style but can be adapted for an office.

| Small dining table turned desk |
It's taken forever, but now that my desk is finished (I'm using a tigerwood maple diner table that Chris, my boss's husband, just refinished) it's time to get moving. I've chosen the color palette, started putting up wall cork, and have been pulling together bits of this and that for decoration. I'll be making some things myself (a banner that will go above my window, scrap booking paper that will be used to spell out an inspirational phrase on the cork, etc...) because I can never find exactly what I want --and it'll make the space feel mine.
While Nora Alexander and Maie Webb of Noon Designs chose to use boards in their shop I didn't think my boss would be happy (or our landlord) if I started hammering away along one wall of my office. I'm using the cork on the upper 2/3 of two adjoining walls. It really warms up the room!
