New Toy!

Happy Monday everyone!

I'm feeling fantastic today because I've got an exciting new toy to show off. Behold, my sewing machine.

White Chicken Chili

Ingredients

Thanks to allrecipes.com and Cha Cha I've got what I hope will be an amazing batch of white chicken chili in the crockpot cooking (I can't tell you it's amazing because 1. I don't want to jinx it and 2. I haven't tasted it as of this posting).

Shane and I will be headed to upstate NY to spend time with the family this weekend. Everyone is making the special 6 hour trip -  ROAD TRIP - this weekend because Shane's cousin, Richard, is on leave from the Marines and will be headed to East Coast. We're pumped!

Tomorrow Mom, Aunt Dez, and I head to New York where we'll board the Carnival Miracle for our much anticipated vacation. It'll be 7 days and 8 nights of relaxing, reading, taking photos, and laying by the pool. Oh yeah and island excursions which we haven't planned yet!

I'm ready!

Rag Rug: Part II, The Pattern

These instructions are for those who already know how to crochet. If you are completely new to the crochet world you can find many helpful tutorial videos on YouTube. I've included a few in this post for convenience.


Choose the color you would like at the center of your rug. You begin your rag rug by creating the center and working your way out.
