Happiness is Home Brewed

photo via WonderWhyAlpacaFarm
Grab a seat, a cup of your favorite home brew, and let's catch up friend.

How you've been? How is  your family? Your pets?

I don't know if you've noticed, but it seems to be baby season. Maybe it's just my age, but so many of my friends are having babies. Is it a surprise that my newest products were all baby hats? I love it.

I'll be in my studio again (as soon as it gets dark or too windy to be outside) I have a few more ideas to flesh out before I put even more product in the shop. Maybe it's the babies, or the weather, but I've been feeling so inspired lately.

This weather has been good for me. I spent hours on the screen porch last weekend photographing "My Little Monsters" and editing the pictures. I love the warm breeze and the sunlight. I don't think I could have done that marathon of photography work if it were cold and grey and I had to work inside with lights.

What are you working on these days?

HB and I were finally able to walk around the flea market. It's been months since I could do that without a steaming mug of coffee, wool gloves, and a hat.

And this week I started reading The Lace Makers of Glenmara. I hadn't read anything since finishing the Happiness Project and I think not having a chapter to read before bed was hurting my sleep.

I've made so many friends these past few weeks. Wonderful, supportive women who make me laugh, think, and smile.

What's on your heart lately?

    1. Isn't it fantastic? And I got my wish, rainy and cold all day Sunday so I curled up to crochet for a few hours :D

  2. It's so true that the weather can affect your inspiration! Yesterday afternoon, Hubs and I visited the lake at my college. He fished and I laid in the sun planning to read. Poor planning (aka a Kindle with a dead battery) left me with lots of time to think, and idea after idea was popping into my head! I can't wait to get my stitching space moved upstairs and get back to work. It's time.

  4. The recent warm up into the 60s and 70s during the day has definitely made my days sparkle just a little bit brighter. It's the same feeling I get in early fall, when the days are chilly but not too chilly and warm but not too warm. I too find myself just sitting and enjoying the world as it goes by, usually with a cup of coffee or tea in hand. Thanks for the recommendations on the book. I'll be going on vacation this week and was in the mood for a good read, especially one about sewing :)

    1. I'm "savoring" it. According to my kindle I'm about 40% through. Good reads go much too quickly!
