I suppose it’s about time I mention that I did something rather drastic two weeks ago. I cut 10 inches off my hair and donated it to locks of love.
If you know me in real life you’re probably nodding your head. This is the cycle I go through. Every few years I grow out my hair only to chop it off a few months later. I almost never gradually cut my hair from long locks down my back to shoulder length and then chin length. To heck with gradual change. One day I just wake up and decided “It’s time.” And then chop-chop I’ve gone from long wavy hair to a short sassy bob. Ok and once I got super short a pixie cut.
Why am I suddenly talking about my hair? I thought I’d give you a heads up (pun intended) because I’m sure a photo of myself will end up here on the blog at some point and I didn’t want anyone wondering who the new comer is. It’s just me changing things up a bit. I could blame the humidity, but really this is a 100% Kasey habit, and I like it that way.
Has anyone else done something drastic to their appearance lately? Did you get funny responses from friends and family? I have a co-worker who cannot stop telling me how much I look like her daughter. It cracks me up every time.

Looks great! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt looks so great!! Ummm.. i recently gave myself bangs. Yeah... big adjustment for me, I haven't had bangs sense I was about 12! Hehe.
ReplyDeleteFunny enough I considered bangs when I got the haircut. I chickened out of them and it's a good thing I did because I have a terrible scar in my hairline that I completely forgot about. I couldn't get bangs to lay straight with a flat iron!
DeleteGood for you! I've done Locks of Love twice and once went from hair going below my arse to a boy's cut! People at work didn't recognize me.
ReplyDeleteI got the same reaction, although my cut wasn't nearly as dramatic. Must be the contacts ;)
Deletewow!
ReplyDeleteI would not have recognized you!!
No glasses AND no flowy curly hair!
In a rebel what can I say :)
