Now that I've got an apartment (still wearing a big goofy grin every time I mention the apartment) I've got to decorate. Slowly, and on a budget.
So, in order to keep things from getting chaotic I've made a few mood boards. This way when it's time to make a purchase I'm not grabbing any old thing that's shiney/trendy/on sale. The mood board helps me stay on track so I'm buying things that will fit with my overall plan for each room.
We'll start with the bedroom (because it needs the most work).

Aren't those colors cheerful and relaxing? I don't know about you but I need a little help in the mornings so a shot of bright yellow here and there is certainly welcome. And I like that those blues are beachy, but not too beachy and calm.

Mood boards definitely help me stay on track when shopping. Absolutely and 100%.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors you chose - definitely relaxing. It would be interesting to throw in a random color like maroon. Just to spice things up!
I love maroon! There will definately be pops of color as we add photos and hang art.
