So last Friday (8 days ago, not yesterday) John & Sherry Petersick from Young House Love issued the Mackelmore Thrift Shop Challenge, inspired by this music video.
The challenge was pretty simple.
Step #1. Go to a thrift shop with – just as the chorus of the song says – “$20 in your pocket”and take a picture.
Step #2 was to spend your $20 any way you’d like and photograph your spoils.
And this is where I lost the challenge. I came home with the exact same $20 I left with.I didn't find a single thing to buy at the thrift store(s). Yep, thrift stores. We went to two.
But...
We did find an Indian grocery store while we were out so....I've got a few spoils.
And I did try to complete the challenge.
Step #3. Find one item (or more) referenced in the song and snap a pic.

ReplyDeleteIt's possible? I had bad luck at the first store so we stopped at a Goodwill we spotted on the drive home. I wasn't terribly familiar with the area.
